Thank You Cards Inside

We sincerely hope we didn’t forget ANYONE, but with the wedding, honeymoon, job hunting, job training, moving, apartment hunting, etc… I’m sure we did. Please don’t take it personal, and we apologize.

We do have so many to thank, and we hope we got you all.

Thank You Cards are out!

by admin on Jun.16, 2009, under Uncategorized

We’re sure we got everyone, but we’re scared a name or two might have gotten dropped. I’ll post the artwork, in about a week, for everyone to see how they came out!

In other news, our photographer, Stacee Strickland, has posted images online of the wedding and you can purchase them. Check them out:

I’ll post honeymoon images & disposable camera images, soon, on Flickr.

With a month left to go

by admin on Mar.27, 2009, under Uncategorized

We are in the final month of Jamie and I living separate lives and coming together for the rest of our lives. And as the wedding comes up we realize these past four years are only a beginning of what great lives we have to look forward to.

Just thought we would remind you. One month to go. If you haven’t sent in the RSVP, we’ll be calling you soon. :)

Honeymoon Planning is done.

by admin on Mar.08, 2009, under Uncategorized

So, thanks to a certain legal victory we are going to be able to afford our honeymoon. We feel that with the stress of trying to make ends meet on this wedding, my current and ongoing unemployment, and all else – we are a bit stressed out. Not to mention, my last vacation and the last time I visited something outside of this country, it was my tour in Korea – and that wasn’t much of a vacation.

So, we are going to spend a few days in Puerto Rico, where I will murder the spanish language. Soy malo en espanol. See, I’m sure there are all types of grammar problems in even that simple sentence.

After we’ve had some sun, ridden some horses and enjoyed Puerto Rico, we will be going on a 7 day cruise thru the Caribbean. And that’s gonna be great for us two pirates.

We have found some great deals and this vacation isn’t as expensive as you would imagine. I don’t know why I haven’t vacationed more, seeing as how cheap it can be if you are smart about them.

well, that’s how it is today. Planning is coming along. Honeymoon is taken care of. Now for the day to come and the festivities to ensue.

Great News and Updates

by admin on Mar.07, 2009, under Uncategorized

plans are coming together, very nicely. We welcome everyone who has had a hand so far in this adventure.

We have spoken with our Pastor of choice, and we are very excited he will be doing the service.

Gifts and RSVPs are coming in, for those who cannot make it, we are sorry. We understand our destination may be a bit out of reach, or things happen. We will think of you, just as the people we were not able to invite. To those who said yes, we cannot wait to see you there.

And now the Great News. We have been under quite a bit of stress on whether this wedding would happen due to finances. Some know this, others, well we tried to hide it. But the silver lining has revealed itself. A certain lawsuit has come thru and now we are certain that things are feasible. We didn’t get no millions but we did get enough to ensure the wedding costs are paid for, a honeymoon can happen, and maybe a little left over to help us thru as I still look for a job.

I know there are those who have prayed and wished for us, to you We thank you. Our lives would not be complete without you in it.

The honeymoon plans? well, I’ll wait till after tomorrow to tell you a bit about that, since tomorrow is the day we’ll do our plans on it. but it’s gonna be a great way for us to get away from ourselves and the stresses that these past 5 months (and counting) have put on us.

We love you all, and thanks again for every bit of help that has come in.

Where we stand today

by admin on Jan.06, 2009, under Uncategorized

sample of motifs

Okay, So the invites are coming along and will hopefully be sent out soon. Jamie and I are really pleased with how these are looking and we hope you enjoy them, as well. If you don’t get one, all we can say is how sorry we truelly are. We both had so many more people we really felt should be there, but due to a very limited budget we find ourselves having to make sacrifices.

On that note, we would really like to thank those who have already donated their time, resources or financial assistance. From Jamie’s parents, Jann Hobbs and Ronn Hobbs, who have put in time and energy into helping the planning and obtaining vital wedding necessities; to my father and his wife, Larry Carter and Celia Carter, who also have given an ear, a shoulder and vitally necessary financial assistance. We must also thank Anders, his wife Jessica, my brother Phil and his wife Heather, Jamie’s sister, Annie and her roomates, Amy and Veronica for help, advice and putting up with us thru this. Thanks still, to Stacee Strickland, who did our engagement photography that we still keep using and for her volunteering to do the photography at the wedding. And of course we must thank Wayne and Hilda Warren for the use of their beautiful riverfront house to host the wedding. If we overlooked anyone, believe me, we will be thanking everyone over and over and over. This wedding is only coming together thanks to the love and dedication of our friends and families.

Let’s not forget we have the Flickr, a main page (that we’ll update with pertinent information), a twitter (for the few who might be signed up), and this blog.

Slowly, Things Are Happening

by admin on Oct.21, 2008, under Uncategorized

Hey everyone. Sorry for the silence, not like I’m really expecting too many viewers.
Well, with Jamie working two jobs and going to school, and now with me unemployed, I’m not sure how things are going to get done, but they will.

We are working out the invite list still, to ensure we can try to invite everyone, but we know that’s impossible (unless we win the lottery.)

But, we are still alive, and planning.
