Hey everyone. Sorry for the silence, not like I’m really expecting too many viewers.
Well, with Jamie working two jobs and going to school, and now with me unemployed, I’m not sure how things are going to get done, but they will.
We are working out the invite list still, to ensure we can try to invite everyone, but we know that’s impossible (unless we win the lottery.)
But, we are still alive, and planning.

Okay, we decided to take the offer from Jamie’s family and have the wedding in Reedley on the Vineland. And we decided to have it take place on the 11th of April, next year. Of course this isn’t set in stone, but it might as well be…
We first need to thank her family soo much for the generous offer. Now we need to actually plan the event. The first hurdle is done. We are going to try to invite as many people as we financially can afford to, so on the onslaught let me start off by saying that if you find your mailbox empty of an invite, it is only due to cost and possibly due to size of the grounds. The location can hold quite a few people, tho.
Anyways, at least you can come back here or onto the real site (when it’s finished) to feel a part of the ceremony, as well.
To get a good idea of Reedley, here are some pictures:

Okay, First of all. We had our celebratory BBQ in honor of our new adventure. To those who weren’t invited; We really wish we could have invited everyone in our lives, but my parent’s house couldn’t fit that many people. To those who came; that day was a very special day to Jamie and I, and without each one of you it would not have held it’s glamour. And finally to those who couldn’t make it; we totally understand the reasons and we had you there in our hearts.
Of course, you will probably hear some of the same after the wedding, but it doesn’t dilute it’s truth. This wedding would be nothing without those who share our lives.
And now, the story. Work has kept us busy and so I have been unable to put this up before.
Jamie and I have been together for three years now (the anniversary was the 16th of this month in fact), and we knew where this relationship was heading. However I really wanted to do something special. Nothing ever seems like it is good enough in this situation. I had already discussed our plans with her father, this was very important to me and Jamie.
Now I had to figure how I was going to propose.
Jamie had suggested a day at Disneyland. See, when we met we were still working at Rainforest Cafe, and Disneyland was our easy date. We had free passes and we had lots of fun each time. With her love of everything Disney, I knew it would be perfect. So, we went to Blue Bayou, as she really wanted to go. It took us our second time of visiting the restaurant to get a table. Near the end of our meal, I pulled out the ring and had it in my lap. and then grabbed the camera. The camera I gave to the server to take our picture, and as she started to back away I pulled out the ring and totally surprissed Jamie. I think I surprised myself since I had to get prompted by Jamie to actually ask the question verbally.
And that’s the engagement story.
I have more pictures up on the Flickr. ENJOY!!

I have to go congratulate a Good Friend, Brad on his first child. Jamie is a bit under the weather. We probably won’t get much done on the wedding front this weekend. We might try to start figuring out who we want and who we can afford to have at the weekend. We would love to invite the world, but that’d be expensive, so if we can see the numbers of people that will help us come up with different counts for the pricing. What this means is if we are unable to give you an invite, it’s not that you are not special in our lives, it’s because of cost. Now, if someone happens to win a lottery before next year then that’s a different story.
Also if we get time this weekend, maybe we’ll update the Proposal story.

Okay, so we finally fixed the name; got a twitter going on; the flickr feed going (even though it’s not showing the previews on the blog like it should, but it does have some more pics there); we have a calendar where we will place the DATE, when that gets decided; and we have already started our links.
Moment for a commercial and praise. We have TONS of wonderful engagement photos up at the flickr site. So, THANKS SO MUCH are in order to our wonderful photographer, Stacee Strickland. C’mon people if you need a photographer, hit her up.
And while you are at the flickr feed post some comments, We would love to know which ones are your favorites!!
I am hoping within a month, I should be able to have the actual Website up, and give this blog a home there. The website will be more crucial next year as we get closer to the wedding and help all of you keep up on the details.
Well, I believe that’s it. So go check out the pictures and comment, and if you see Jamie, don’t forget to congratulate her or offer her your pity since it is me that she will be stuck with.
BTW, the Beautiful ring was Our Vision but our good friend at The Jewelry Doctor (714.937.1545) Who did the surgery. So if you need a good deal, check him out. He can do miracles.

So, the first of many compromises has already begun. I misspoke with the previous title of the blog, and now this is the new home. to recap:
I will be posting this (hopefully) very soon on a web site devoted to the upcoming festivities. It will help everyone know what is going on in our planning and keep up to date on the plans and any extracurricular events associated with the wedding. As time is short for now, this will be a short intro. I will update you very shortly on where we stand.
I have the twitter up and running. As things get going with the wedding, you can get up to date updates. Isn’t the internets the coolest?
Well the whole ring & engagement story will have to wait just a bit longer (I don’t have adequate time right now to get to that.)
A few weeks ago, Jamie and I finalized and made official the decision to begin our wedding. Now we are in the planning stages. We have decided that we want to get married around this time next year. That’s the bulk of our decisions made, to tell you the truth. The wedding is being paid for from our pockets, which makes it a very tight budget. Not impossible, but it will make it more of a quaint family event than a full blown extravagant fiesta. Which is fine with us. This brings me to the first request, if anyone has good ideas on how to keep our costs down, please put them in the comments section.
Now, what have we accomplished? Well she has a beautiful ring on her finger (I will post photos later). And we did our Engagement photos as well. I have posted the behind the scenes shots to my Flickr (it’s on the left side of this window). I will also add some of the shots done by our wonderful photographer, Stacee Strickland. Check out her site at http://www.staceestrickland.com/
And Jamie chose her dress. Outside of that, not much else.
