New Firefox Personas
by Sean Carter on Jun.02, 2011, under Themes
I’ve never been diagnosed with ADD, but I’m sure everyone has it to some varying degree. As I was working on my website I thought I’d take a break and introduce a few new Personas for Firefox. To check them out go to my Persona Page.
Artists and the Social Aspects – The Squeeky Gear Gets the Oil
by Sean Carter on May.26, 2011, under Professional
Artists, in the past, were labeled as outsiders and anti-social. Interesting since most artists have a burning desire to get everyone to see their art. Artists are like dictators in this aspect, we want everyone to either Hate us or Love us. The image of the brooding artist in the corner is gone, since everyone is bombarded with so much media everywhere. Today we must remind the world that we are here. For me, it’s why I set this blog up. However, it gets to be a bit difficult to do it all. First we have to do the adult things like pay bills and keep a reasonably clean domicile while we try to entertain and please our friends and family. Then we try to get our names out there thru networking events and social media. Of course most of us will try to keep up on the latest trends or current events seeking out motivation and ideas for our next Magnum Opus. We also try to spend any time we can reinforcing the basic talents and practicing our skills. Of course, the most important part, we have to do the actual work. Updating the Site
by Sean Carter on Sep.09, 2010, under Personal
So, before I get into some of the changes I’m making on this site, and how I got there, I wanna say… My Firefox Persona number one has been approved.
So if you wanna update your firefox to have an id8tion look go to http://www.getpersonas.com/en-US/persona/291598 .
Now, to the website. First thing one must do is check out the HTML5 Boilerplate, it can be found at html5boilerplate.com. This is great for everyone, from those who have been web forever or those of us who have been gone from the digital canvas for some time.
Since I have been away from website design for so long, it’s taking me a bit longer than i had hoped to finish my site. HTML5 and CSS3 were not around when I started, nor when I pretty much stopped doing sites. Then again, I think we were still on Creative Suite 2..
I’ll post more, as I finish my site. I have added some little effects that take advantage of HTML5 and so some browsers may not get the whole effect. Then again, I’m keeping the cool little changing portion that shows different quotes from Linked In.
