Not sure. I would just say, make sure you don’t have any finder windows open and see if that helps.

I have the same situation and very similar equipment setup. all of us on Mac’s (4 of us) One shared file server (but is is also a Mac) It doesn’t happen all of the time, but seems more and more frequent lately. Open or create a file and make changes, Save changed file to the server and get this message. My problem goes one step further though. After the message, I am not able to save anywhere without a crash or lockup. Desktop, external hard drive, usb jump drive etc. THen when I restart InDesign, I usually get another set of errors as it tries to recover the file. Any Ideas?

it’s usually because you have the file “opened” in some program. My post was how the Finder is considered a program, especially in concerns with the file on a server. That’s all i can think of to help you.

I’m encountering this error too, but the finder does not seem to be generated a preview in the finder (it only displays the icon in the preview area in the finder).

Have you been able to pinpoint the issue further?
